The end of this season that promised so much ended with relegation from division II. GM Ransom was candid in the post game interview. 'We came up against a side that wanted it more. We did ourselves proud by finishing in the standings as the highest promoted team, but I think we overdid ourselves in reaching those heights. Certainly we've had a playoffs to forget. But we will rebuild and come back stronger.'

Head Coach Saroun was on the receiving end of some particularly vehement protests from the away fans after this final game. He may well find himself in trouble with the league authorities for allegedly giving the bird to the hardcore Wyverns fans known as D-Block as chants of 'You don't know what you're doing.' rang out. He commented, 'Last year they call me hero for the winning of the promotion. Now I am scum to them. I have one more year here, we see now who laughs the last then.'
