Minnesota Frostbite - Frostbite Take Another Step Forward
The Minnesota Frostbite recently concluded another season where they showed demonstrable improvement. The Frostbite finished a franchise-best 10th in the regular season before pulling off an upset in a two game sweep in the 9th place placement series, another franchise best. "We are pleased with the continued progress, but the job isn't done" said general manager Joe, "we are looking forward to competing for a spot in the playoffs and hopefully advancing in the National Cup next season." The Frostbite continue to enjoy loyal fan support, allowing them to grow their arena to a capacity of 1950 and add press facilities to increase team exposure.
The Frostbite were led by the increasingly popular first line forwards of Vince Mott (94 points), Milton Morris (84 points) and Clint Winters (81 points). Furthermore, a variety of Frostbite players achieved career statistical milestones. Mott, Morris, and Winters all recorded their 100th career point, as did second line forwards Philip Cook, Douglas Franklin, and Lonnie Benoit, third line forwards Melvin Bonner, Clint Hart, and Jim Cuevas, and powerplay quarterback Matt Vandyke. Mott and Winters also recorded their 100th career assists, and goalie Patrick Black logged his 10th career shutout. Furthermore, GM Joe spent his second year managing the USA U20 team.
"The Frostbite are especially proud of these milestones," Joe said, "they show that our strategy of investing in our facilities and developing players in our system is starting to pay off. The future is bright."
