The Starz showcased their depth today at home to Team noname 128238, a team built out of necessity as the league bosses required 20 teams to fill out the schedule.

Well, filling out the schedule they did, but it was their net being filled this afternoon as the rookies and roster outcasts put 25 past a helpless Korbin Connaghan, unfortunately left in for each and every tally.

Terry Stuart and Brennan Hitchcock lead the line, each potting 5 to go with 3 helpers, Marek Jasek put in 4 and many others added singles, with no player on the Starz going pointless.

Special teams were again strong, going 6/7 on the PP (60% on the season) and killing off all 5 penalties (90.5%), but that was almost implied, given the scoreline.

GM TwigStarz had planned this to be an easy night, a test for those on the fringe of the squad, but added a bit more talent than initially expected, in
newcomers Jonathan Marentette, Trystan Cote and Lucas Mailloux.

They all had productive nights, scoring 4, 3 and 2 points respectively and look to be solid additions, as also proven by the fact that this 'B' team ranks 2nd overall on paper in terms of projected skill (their OR is slightly higher than that of the Ottawa Minerva hockey club)

The Starz are still waiting on the arrival of goalie Thomas Inglethorpe, a transfer in from Sweden, but all things considered, after today this team will only keep going up. A fun TwigStarz team has only gotten than much better.

We'll see what the rest of the season holds.
