Toronto Anarchians† - Anarchians are meeting with Lions
Toronto Anarchians are playing against Löwen Frankfurt 1959. There is no recent history from this team as it arrived from different league.
Let's see if Anarchians can maintain winning streak.
Löwen are currently on 8th place with 1-1 record while Anarchians maintaining 3rd place with 2-0 record.
Löwen had rather hard start against Vohwinkel Foxes - team that gave a lot of troubles in the regular season to Anarchians. At the moment Foxes are in hold of 2nd position with 2 wins one of which came against Löwen in the season opener with score 11-0. Than Löwen strike back with 22-2 win against Sylter EHC (17th in the league).
On other hand we have Toronto who after rather dry season opener started to score on special team opportunities finishing with 5 power play goals on 8 opportunities. In addition, Toronto completed training camp and will play in full force for the first time this season.
Players to watch:
While loosing first game blanked Löwen bounce back strong in the second. Center Jesse van den Nieuwenhuijzen (2-6) and wingers Elias Ekström (4-4) and Adam Hotovčín (3-5) each had 8 points. Also entire first line had a very strong game and +7 plus/minus ranking.
Toronto won past two with rather big score mainly due to the top line dominance. Wingers Marko Weiner (7-5) and Per Leis (5-7) combined for 12 points each, while center Niclas Busche (6-5) and defenceman Adam Lechner (1-10) added 11 points each. Overall first line maintaining +16 ranking and is in the top of the league. Same comes to points leaders. On the other hand goaltender Olav Ribbeck who had first two starts is 2nd in the league with save percentage of 96.77. He gave up only 1 goals on last 31 shot.
Injuries:
Löwen are playing without Helmut Rademacher (right thigh bone fracture) and Simeon Rösner (finger fracture). Toronto is still without Björn Helmer (dislocated thumb) who is day-to-day and should return for the next game.
