Minnesota Frostbite - Frostbite Continue to Build
The Frostbite recently wrapped up their first completed season by finishing with a franchise best 11th place finish, and once again overperforming their playoff position to finish 10th in the playoff, another franchise best outcome. General Manager Joe sounded upbeat, saying "we are pleased with the progress, but our work isn't finished. We continue to build towards being a team that can make the top playoff group to get a chance to fight for promotion."
Now having a full season under their belt, even more Frostbite players are becoming known around the league, including starting goalie Patrick Black, defensemen Yusuf Pressley, Clyde Li, Harry Chestnut, Ed Snow, and Elmer Benton, and wingers Douglas Franklin (who led the team with 56 points this season), Lonnie Benoit, Clint Hart, Jim Cuevas, and Paul Arevalo.
The Frostbite have also continued to add young talent developed in house, developed their facilities, expanded their arena capacity to 1650, and begun construction on their first press center. "We are looking forward to giving our players and fans the press coverage that they deserve, and continue to invest in our fans and developing our players the right way" said General Manager Joe.
Additionally, General Manager Joe managed the USA U20 team to a 7-0 record at the world championships, finishing first in Division II, and earning promotion to Division I for next season.
