A big day for the Telford Taipans, with the opening of a new stand, increasing the capacity of the Snake Tank to 600. The Snake Tank is expected to be full tonight for the visit of the London Onyx, especially with the recent flurry of transfer activity. Coach Oswin has brought in a netminder (Kane Connolly), three forwards (Ferdinand Skopel, Jerzy Lisek and Bernard Paquineau) and two defencemen (Tadeas Hupko and Igors Lasdins).

Coach Oswin said, 'There is a lot of quality in this league and I felt the need to respond by bringing in some quality imports, which I believe we have got. Each of them brings something to the team and I am glad that we have been able to bring them in. I am sure that they will become fan favourites in the coming weeks'.

Coach Oswin will be looking for an immediate impact from his new signings as they take on the London Onyx. Oswin commented, 'The Onyx are struggling at the moment, but if we turn up and expect our new signings to win us the game, we will lose. I expect a high intensity 60 minutes from all four lines and hope we can mark the opening of the new stand with a victory'.
