The Stockport Sabres ended the Goats unbeaten run with a fine 2-0 victory in tonights top of the table clash.
It was a close game with the Sabres 1-0 up with 2 minutes left on the clock.Coach Ranby decided to pull the netminder in favour of the extra attacker but his plan failed as the Sabres scored on the empty net. Ranby added that " He was proud of his team tonight in a close game with both teams creating plenty of scoring chances".
On a positive note the Goats added yet another player to their ranks with Duck-young Il-woong a South Korean center who is just 15 years old but has an excellent chance of making a big impression in the British League.
