A capacity crowd of 900 at the Snake Tank saw the Taipans continue to struggle, with another loss recorded. Coach Oswin of the Taipans was unhappy at the end of the match.

'We conceded some terrible goals tonight. 3 were on their powerplay - we gave away far too many penalties. And as for the first...'

Oswin was referring to the first goal, which HC Ubrez scored in 21 seconds with the first shot of the game.

Oswin also had words for the officials: 'They did us no favours tonight; we had a goal disallowed for a net off its moorings and one of their players jumped Bernard and didn't even pick up a minor for roughing.'

Oswin took some positives from the match, namely that his side finally found the net again after being shut out for two consecutive games.

The Taipans are in action on Wednesday with a visit to Bexley Bulldogs.
