On Friday May 29th, 2015 Canadian Express head coach Vratislav Nedozrál announced that he has named defense man Alvin Jordan new team captain after former captain Brandt Morrison departed earlier this season.

"The coaching staff and I have been discussing this the last few days. We feel that Alvin is the leader in the dressing room and that we are confident in him leading the team going forward." said Nedozrál.

Jordan has 103-303-406 in 261 games for the Express. Jan Čečetka and Ray Campbell were named as Jordan's assistants.
