Calgary Beavers† - Playoff Preview - Wolfpack
league IV 9 playoffs are set, with the first games taking place this Friday. The Wolfpack have moved up to 2nd place with their win over Kicesie 5-2 on the final day of the regular season. This gives them home ice advantage through the first 2 rounds, which is a great thing to have. Their first round opponent are the Vancouver Orcas, this should be an easy round for them as the Orcas just got a new manager, and it can take time to get the team playing to their op performance right away. They also finished with some players receiving some great personal achievements this season. Stefen Engels and Didzis Kaucēns, the back up goalie have received all star team of the season awards. Impressive as each player played just over half the season and put up impressive numbers. Wolfpacks new starting goalie, Ivan Měšťánek will take home the best save percent of any goalie in the league. Despite playing less games in the league, Ralf Pollmann will be the runner of for goal scoring, with Bo Ellingsen in 4th, and Stefen Engels rounding out the top 10. While in the points category, all are in the top 5, Pollmann at 2, Ellingsen at 3, and Engels at 5. These three were also the top points per game players in the league with players playing more then 1 game and will be a lethal attack heading into the playoffs.
In other match ups, The 1st place Warriors take on the 8th place Scorpions, this should be a close series but the Warriors should win in 2. In the 3rd vs 6th place series it will be Kicesie vs brampton blitz, which will also be close, but with Kicesie taking a 2-0 series win as well. The most anticipated series will be the Blackhawks vs Mighty Ducks Of Stoneham in the 4 vs 5 match up. This series looks close, but the Ducks did win both games.
