Denne pressemeddelelse er et svar på en pressemeddelelse fra holdet USA St. Charles Mudcats†: Mudcat shake up team ownership goes all in

USA St. Charles Mudcats† - Mudcats selling first round draft pick as experiment

This afternoon at the Mudcat press conference Concerning the Upcoming draft GM Ramsback said.

"We are not counting on the draft to improve us we have prospects coming out our @#&# and at this moment are now ranked 5th in overall strenth in our league from the changes we have made already and all our players are under 18, we already have acquired the players we want our future is bright."

"Quite frankly the draft wont help us as much as the higher ranked teams anyway, they will get 5 picks to our 2 due to the draft policies. Honestly we really don't see much opportunity or advantage in the draft for an expansion team we feel the drafts favor the existing higher ranked teams heavily and hurt the newer teams and overall competiveness of the leagues. so wed like to see if it has any value to any teams."

Mudcat management explained How this would work. You write them and tell them how much you will guarantee on the market for us to draft the player you want we will then draft that player, we would then place him on the market for you for the minimum time allowed ( less people will bid for that player with short timeline)at that price. all you would have to do then is bid for him."

In real life a top draft pick costs an established team quite a bit in players or cash they are worth several million dollars we would like to see if its that way here. In otherwords this is an experiment to see if the drafts with these policies in place have any value to the players or not granted its not a perfect indicator because they will have to outbid others on market but we should get a general idea of if a low first round draftpick ( most likely number 1 overall) has any real value at all.

you need a guaranteed market price of 200,000 or more to be considered the highest bid will then get us to pick the player they want if available (tiny amount for any team many players sell for millions everyday)

please no hate comments. We just really would like to see if it has any value or not to anyone. We just don't understand why any sports league draft would be structured as these are to punish newer weakest teams with less picks and rewarding the powerhouses of the leagues with more advantages in a game that's already stacked heavily against new teams to begin with. We will report the results ( if anyone thought it was worth anything at all) to everyone on my profile page after the player is sold after the draft. If no one makes an offer I will report that also and we can then assume draft picks with these policies offer little to no value for players.
