Owner and GM of the Storm Riders,
Mr. Mc Cann, presented a statement earlier today to reassure fans and investors alike. Here are the highlights.

"Our team, last season, performed bellow expectations and barely managed to remain within the league. I have therefor given senior management a new focus and direction. Numerous older veterans being highly overpaid have been released from the team as well as our former head coach...
Our focus this year is to bet on younger more trainable talent and stop the rampant financial spiral afflicting the team...A new strict player salary cap has been introduced and we are currently seeking a new coach... These measures will, in the long run, create a more sustainable and performant team...
Our aim for this season is to finish in the top 12 teams. A feasable and realistic goal."

Hockey experts are already debating whether this new strategy will pay off, however most agree a new direction was required. Mr. Mc Cann has promised to update the investors and fans by mid-season. What shall become of the Storm Riders?? Only time will tell.
