Brampton Capitals† - A Chapter ends
This morning marked the last day in the organization for long time Capitals' physician Wayne Beech.
Beech spent his entire career with Brampton, and was honored with a special breakfast this morning at which he was presented with a Capitals home and away jersey with his name and the number "1". Both of which were signed by the players and staff.
He was also presented with a custom leather bound notebook with pictures from his career as well as empty pages to add pictures for his upcoming retirement vacations.
Finally he was presented with a pair of lifetime season tickets.
When asked for comment, team owner mrnegative15 said "It's a special day today. The first staff member to retire from our team. It's bitter sweet really. Wayne was the head physician here for some time and was very well liked. We'll miss having him around, but he's worked hard and he deserves to spend the rest of his life doing whatever it is that he wants."
Wayne made his speech to the staff and players short and sweet "I'm just moving from the medical office to the stands. Once a Capital, always a Capital!".
