The Waterlooville Goats put up a fine performance tonight at The Farmyard with a hard fought 2-2 draw with Czech Rep side HC Lofásci†.
The Goats out-shot the Czech side 51-21 but struggled to beat the outstanding Radislav Dlouhý in the Lofasci net.
The Czech side are currently in 19th place in the Czech 1st Division so this was a very top side who have 26 players well over the 1000 overall rating!
Head Coach of the Goats Hayden Ranby was seen leaving the rink with a bottle of fine Champagne and a packet of ready salted crisps tucked under his arm as he headed home for a little celebration!.
The Goats travel to Slovenia tomorrow for another Cup game against HC Crushers who are currently 12th in the Slovenian II.1 Division.
General Manager and overall big wig at the Goats francise Gary Hedger said " The Crushers are another top team and we just hope that we can sneak a few goals and give a good account".
