Mudcat front offices were busy this week cutting players and adding depth 6 cats were released and several newcomers signed on "we told you a week ago these players were not going to get us to the next level and that some were playing for their jobs this week, this should come as no surprise" General Manager Ramsback said "ownership has invested half a million dollars for personel to build this team from the ground up". Most of the teams new players are under 18 years old. "the young guys will create competition for spots and that's whats been lacking here".

When asked about the Mudcat wish list Coach Duncan replied "We still have quite a bit of money in our war chest to aquire players. We are looking to gain two more playmaking universal forwards and we will always be looking for depth at goaltending position, you can never have enough good young goalies if a good young goalie comes along we will be bidding for him". "we have only used about half of what we have budgeted for players, staff and salaries" Coach Duncan added saying he is excited about the new ownerships commitment.
