Acest comunicat de presă este un răspuns la comunicatul de presă al echipei SUA Hadaegis Aces†: The Ace Flier - Vol. 1 - #1 - Aces' Prokop Injured in Bizarre Accident

SUA Hadaegis Aces† - The Ace Flier – Vol. 1 - #2 – The Aces Go To a Rugby Game

HADAEGIS – The Aces took a team outing Saturday to the Great Horned Gardens, taking in a Hadaegis Owls RC rugby game.

“It’s nice to see that we have another sports team again in Hadaegis,” noted longtime Aces goaltender Ricky Diaz. “I used to go to a lot of Harriers soccer and rugby games when they were around. It’s great to have rugby back. Now I don’t have to go down to The Docks on the weekends to see high-stakes poker and knife fights for my weekend adrenaline rush.”

The Owls have moved into the former Harrier Hawk Gardens, previously inhabited by the defunct Hadaegis Harriers FC and RC teams. None of the team foldings were ever explained to disappointed fans by the Hadaegis Sports Consortium ownership group.

“The Hadaegis Sports Consortium expanded too fast and into too many areas, that’s why the Harriers soccer and rugby teams both went under,” said Aces GM Arthur Brunswick. “As the public face of the HSC, I felt I owed an explanation to the fan, mostly because I’m tired of receiving death threats. I’ve spoken the truth and brought rugby back to Hadaegis, what more do the people of this town want?”

The Saturday afternoon game saw the Owls, #1 in their league, taking on the Burnet Flames, the #5 team in the league coming into the game.

“Oh man, that was awesome. I haven’t had this much fun since I blew up all the toilets in the Memorial Auditorium,” said Pat “Black Cat” Bremer, so nicknamed for his penchant of blowing off Black Cat firecrackers. “I tried to do what I could to liven up the atmosphere, but security confiscated my fireworks at the gate. Security was never this tight when the Harriers were in town. Bunch of buzzkills, man.”

The Owls even hosted an Aces autograph session at halftime, as part of the home opening festivities. Many of the 5000 spectators on hand rushed to get an autograph from their favorite Aces.

“It’s nice to see that the people of this town love us even when we’re not in our gear. In fact, I was surprised they even recognized us,” said Aces center Charles Brannon. “Actually, I’m surprised they can even gurgle out coherent words, let alone sentences. I was under the impression that everyone in this town a lobotomy patient. Clearly, I was wrong. They still smell weird though.”

The game ended in a total blow out for the Owls, who trounced the Flames 105-0. Many of the Aces sought to draw inspiration from the Owls superior effort.

“Watching our brothers on the rugby pitch dominate the other team felt really good,” said Aces captain Gábor Sárkány. “We had bad ending to a good week in our loss yesterday. Seeing some of our guys beat the snot out of someone else’s guys just felt… nice. It’s something we can rally around. As the saying goes, ‘The hamster with the most toys dies first.’”

The Aces hope to build off of the Owls’ Saturday success and charge on to a Top 8 finish in the league.

The Week Ahead:

The Aces find themselves at home twice again this week. Monday, the Aces host Safado. They travel to West Virginia at midweek to take on TRIBAL HYDRA, and then The Huntington Hitmen come to town on Friday. All game times, as always, are at 11am CT, great seats are still available!
