(AP) "Yeah, we think that Jan. 24 would be a good day for Junior to play his last league game. It just feels right, you know. We have to see how the Sahara Cup goes, so not before then, but that will be his last league game. He came back from FA pretty cheap we think and it is only fair that we see what his true value is on the open market. And once he's gone...well...that's pretty much the franchise so we will be reviewing all of especially our veterans contracts. We think it is time. It is time for the Mudcats organization, top to bottom, to open up and embrace change."

(Comments from Mudcats GM and President Paul Roedb, confirming rumours that long-time star Junior Harvey will leave the club. Roedb's comments hint strongly that his departure will be followed by other long-term Mudcats. Rumours of financial difficulties have been circulating for a couple of seasons now and today's comments suggest that these moves aim to address these.)
