After a slow start with only 28 goals in their first three wins, the Griffins bounced back with a 27-1 thrashing of Best Evah. Commenting team manager Wedgie Oaxacaski said "Its a new season. Even experienced players have jitters. Things will play out. During the off season we made some key moves that will add to the solid youthfull core we have a built and picked up a few experienced vets to mentor the younger lads."

After being bounced in the second round of the playoffs last season by a hot goalie and a Boston squad built, in this papers opinion for a one time shot, Oaxacaski was bent on building a bullet proof squad ready to turn the tide and dominate.

With a presason full of European and Rally team opponants from some of the hockey world's better leagues, Oaxacaski figures they are ready for smash mouth or dipsy doodle keep away.

Well the changes and tough preseason schedule paid off with a 4-0 start, 55 goal differential and a solid 27-1 pouncing to the Best Evah squad. Oaxacaski just hopes it doesnt lead to over confidence as the team prepares to take on the Daemon squad who has yet to allow a goal this season. "It should be a hang on to yer @#$%s game thats for sure. They are solid club. But we are ready show who is king of the hill."
