After a long period without a hockey team in the city the Newcastle Vipers have been formed.
The Vipers have took the place of a league III.10 team and are currently in 11th position and leading into the final games of the season are unlikely to reach the playoffs.

The team however, lead by their new GM Mr.C.W have announced major investment programs, including a 200 seat extension to their arena with new dining and merchandise facilities as well as investing in training facilities to allow players to reach their max potential.

The Vipers inaugural game is tonight at the Metro Radio Arena, with a faceoff time of 5pm!
