Fin de saison decevante
Bow Valley Buccaneers† - League III.2 Season 4 Preview
Say goodbye to 10 teams, and say hello to 10 new. Huge turnover in this mid-level division this offseason with 8 teams being relegated to various league IV divisions while the League III.2 champions Bresse Nordique and finalists King M.Jackson both move up to league II.1. This article will highlight the new teams joining this league and will try to predict which teams to look out for in Season 4 in this rough and tough Canadian division. First off are the league IV division winners.
The Division Winners:
Fedidit Rangers (IV.5)
Montreal Canadien (IV.6)
Ice Monkeys (IV.7)
Schrödinger's Cats (IV.8)
-----These boys know how to win. All 4 of these teams won their respective leagues in Season 3 and hope to bring that winning attitude to III.2. Expect the Fedidit Rangers and Ice Monkeys to continue their dominating ways, most likely fighting for a top 6 spot in this season.
The Promoted teams:
Elmira Horse And Buggies (IV.5)
Snowbirds (IV.6)
Bow Valley Buccaneers (IV.7)
Kilborn Rangers (IV.8)
------They didn't necessarily wow anybody with their performances last year, but these teams all pushed their way up into III.2 by beating the bottom feeders of season 3. All 4 teams in this group are fairly even and should be in the middle of the pack by seasons end, with 1 or 2 vying for a playoff spot. Both the Kilborn Rangers and Bow Valley Buccaneers have chances to make a splash in this league.
The Relegated teams:
Hunters de Baskatong (II.1)
Skullz† (II.1)
------The rejects from league II.1. Both these teams have seen the big guns of league II.1 and could not handle the heat. Expect the Skullz to stay in division III this time around, but if the Hunters can find some consistent goaltending they can most definitely compete for a top 5 position and possibly move right on back up to League II.1.
III.2 Teams:
3rd: Actus
4th: Brampton Capitals
5th: Molsons Minions
6th: Montreal's Canadians
7th: Toronto Legends
8th: Brampton Chiefs
9th: st-jean Alliance†
10th: Team noname 12766
11th: Gladiateurs de St-Jean†
12th: Team noname 39330
------These are the folks that everybody recognizes, the ones that survived last season and are invited back to the party this one. 2 teams are without managers and don't expect to challenge for very many wins. 2 others will need some vast improvements this year to stay in this league, especially with the talent pool that has arrived this season. Out of the group 2 teams stand above the rest, Actus and Toronto Legends. Both these teams have great veteran presence, and seem to be the early picks to win league III.2.
There are no clear cut favorites. Many teams this season are very even. It will all depend on the moves and strategies teams make throughout the season. Expect a lot of parity in this league after a very front loaded Season 3. Any team can win this, and we are 16 short weeks away from finding out. Good luck to all, and get pumped for an exciting Season 4 for League III.2.
