(AP) The Dunnville Mudcats have new owners, a probably that became a certainty earlier today with the press release from the Peoples' Republic of China. Mike D'Agostino, while awaiting a return flight to Canada in Beijing, made the announcement through team attorney Ed Valentine. Valentine stated that the D'Agostino family had, "come to a sad yet well thought out realization" that the running of the Dunnville club was, "no longer in their best interests". The new owners, kept under a cloak of secrecy throughout the lengthy negotiations, were announced today as being another family conglomerate, this time headed by Chinese business tycoon Liu Ya Ya. Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.
