It’s almost the half of the season and Montreal Canadien owner, MontrealCanadiensFan, held a press conference after the 3-4 loss at home against Bow Valley Buccaneers.

“Before starting talking about our achievements and challenges in this first half season, I want to congratulate Bow Valley Buccaneers for their win today, they started the game on a high pace and even though they were behind by one goal they came back strong to take a 4-1 lead. Our team showed some character strength in the third period but we came short by one goal.

After a good start in league III.2, the Montreal Canadien hockey team has faced some difficult games in the last 2 weeks and the results were not the ones we expected. In the last 6 games, Montreal Canadien team had 2 wins, including an overtime win against Snowbirds and 4 losses. Our team is facing, for the first time in its history, a difficult period.

We had high hopes at the beginning of the season as I stated that we wanted to win the league this year. I’m not changing our goal as our philosophy is to get better every day. I want our organization to look up and learn from challenges: when a team is facing adversity and a difficult time as we are right now, our players, coaching staff, myself, we are all learning what it takes to be a better team, we are all learning how to grow as an organization.

If you look back at our first game in this league, 10 players have been brought in our lineup since then and I believe we made the right changes to bring this team to the next level.
The next weeks will be crucial in the run for a playoff spot. I need all members of our organization to focus on the second half of the season.”

I want to reiterate all my support to our coaching staff, managers, sporting directors, we have been doing a great job in the past and we are going to do a great job in the future."
