League III.10 Finals to go down to 3rd game:

Tomorrow at The Barn the Iowa Wild and the Backstreet Boys will meet for the 5th and final time this season. (The loser of course will look to get promoted so this hopefully won't be the end of the rivalry)

So far the teams have split the season series, including playoffs, 2-2, with each team winning on their own ice. Here is the tale of the tape:

Goals: IW 16-11
Shots: BSB 109-106
Faceoffs: IW 120-96
Penalties: IW 14-19
EH Goals: IW 10-8
PP Goals: IW 4-2
SH Goals: IW 2-1

Iowa seems to have the advantage in most areas, but the tape doesn't tell everything as those stats are skewed by a 7-0 victory by the Wild late in the season. The scores of the other three games: 0-3, 6-4, 3-4.

Though Iowa has home ice, this game could go either way. It will come down to which coach has better prepared his team, has the better game plan, and just a little bit of luck. Hopefully this game isn't the end of the Iowa-Backstreet rivalry, but the beginning.
