The game was a tight affair with only one goal separating the team throughout the match until Telford pulled their netminder in the closing stages in an attempt to tie the game. This move backfired and Venom lost a fourth goal to confirm the loss.

Venom remain top of the league, 3 points clear of their main rivals, but this defeat will give hope to the chasing pack.

The Venom coach has confirmed that the club will continue with their policy of only using hoemgrown talent for the remainder of the season. However, that will be reviewed after the play-offs when the Venom know which league they'll be playing in next season.
