Boilermakers† - Boilermakers ride long win streak to 4th place, but can they go any higher?

The Boilermakers would like to do anything they can to avoid a semi-final match up with the Wild Hogs, and that means finishing 2nd or 3rd in the league. They are currently 1 pt behind Cedar Park for third, and 3 points behind Aiziet Jr Farm for second. A loss against the Wild Hogs will slow their pursuit, but a win will almost instantly make them the favorite for second place going into the playoffs. The Boilermakers improved at left defenseman today, bringing in Slovakians Kornel Čápora and Karol Konc. This is in addition to bringing in Bulgarian Orlin Praskov, who was brought in for the same purpose. These additions bring the foreign player total of the Boilermakers up to 16, bringing concerns on whether the team can afford to maintain itself. Manager Saveliy Tymchuk was quoted as saying "Everyone knows Americans can't play hockey, if you want to win, you have to bring in the Europeans". When asked why not Canadians, Tymchuk responded "They're too expensive, at least for the good ones".
Elsewhere in the league, the 5th-7th positions are separted by just 3 points, as the PAnguins, the PA Ducks, and the Denver Dens battle for position. the 8th and final spot in the promotion playoffs is even more competitive as 5 teams are within a single point of each other.
