Colt 45s† - Morale Boost for the Colt 45s
In an effort to boost the morale of the team, Coach Bruno Rivers took the entire squad to a local arcade to blow off steam. Armed with buckets of quarters and, true to their namesake, cases of malt liquor the 45s took a local arcade by storm late Thursday night.
"I just wanted to give the guys a little time to, you know, realize that there is more to life than playing these games" Rivers said Friday morning. "Sometimes it feels like you're stuck in a compute, you know? Practice, play a game, practice....I mean, we've been playing six or seven games a week...is that even possible?"
The local arcade, two blocks from the Corner Market Arena that the 45s call home, was thrilled to have the team stop by. Arcade Manager Marty McLargehuge had this to say: "yeah they just kinda...showed up. Wasn't really expecting much business, thursday night isn't a big night in the arcade business. I guess they were some kind of hockey team...who knew?"
It wasn't all fun and games however, as local phenom Lloyd Messina reportedly added 2 days to his injury recovery time playing Guitar Hero. Also, Nate Rodriguez is said to have 'vomited all over the pinball machines'.
The 45s play an anonymous 'team noname' Friday, and tickets are still available.
