Omaha Blizzard† - New to II
As season 11 begins the newly promoted Omaha Blizzard prepare for a new league, II.4. "We expect there to be a bit of a learning curve in the new league," GM Jordan Holthus said in the Blizz's first press conference of the season early this morning he also added, "We will do what we can to get our kids adjusted to the new league, the teams and players in it. We told them that the game here will be much faster and harder than they were used to at III.14."
The Blizzard did add a couple of new players at the end of last season to try to compensate for a talent gap in the new league. "True our chemistry will be a little low at first but we hope that the increase in talent will offset that enough initially to make us relatively competitive with most of the league," stated head coach Rupert Kepler.
The team starts their league season off, later today, with the 2nd place finishers from last season Wiggly Pigs. Team captain Florian Bradavka said, "They're definitely a solid team, we're just going to go out there, give it our best and I'm sure it will be an... interesting welcome to division II."
