Detroit Red Wings 59704 † - Preparing For The New Season
The Grand Rapids Rampage made a strong push at the end of the season to secure the 8th and final seed in the playoffs after amassing only 4 wins in the 22 games before new owner/manager Cory Martin took over.
"Considering where we started, I'm happy with our position this season. It showed a lot of dedication from our staff and players to be able to climb from as low as 19th in the league and make the playoffs," Cory Martin commented at the recent press conference following the end of the playoffs.
"I'm happy with the team we have going into the coming season. We'll see a few players depart as our roster is a bit heavy at the moment, but fans will be happy to know that our roster is pretty solid going into the next season. They shouldn't see too many changes and can expect a lot more stability," he continued.
"With New York and Canterbury leaving, the league will look a bit different, but now that we have a full season with the same management group in charge, we expect to build on last season's success. Hopefully, we'll be moving up to a more prominent league in the near future."
