Live post game here at Rexall place as the Edmonton Oil Kings record there 5th straight win to take 6th spot. Oil Kings goaltender Gerardino Checci who wasn't even expected to start made 27 saves for a 93.10% save%, had this to say "we've played hard these last few weeks and it's finally payed off."

Montreal CH who was tied with the kings lost 3:1 to the 1st place blazers. "I didn't put in a great effort that's why we lost." Said Montreal's goal tender Andrew Belanger.

Injury Report:
As we announced January 6th Zachary Coates has been cleared to play but will not be in the line-up as he's been sent to camp for conditioning. The sniper had 3 goals and a assist in 4 games this season. Captain Dillon Colby returned from his left arm injury, the Canadian had an assist in 25:56 MINS of ice-time he was also rated even.

Here's a new segment we like to call hottest King.
Our first guest ever is Oswaldo Atheron. Atheron has 8 points in his last 5 games (3 goals 5 assists.) This is yet another Canadian coming into the season hockey central didn't even rank him in there top 100 players. He's been truly on of the best players in the league. The first question sent in by Micheal Shelast when were in the booth live with Atheron. "Have you ever been mad that you weren't ranked in the top 100 players to start the season?" Atherons reply was "No I haven't I don't think being in the top players is as important as being good for your team. The next and final question comes in from Raylene Emerson "Have you ever considered not resigning with the Oil Kings?" "No I think the Kings are a great organization and I hope they offer me a contract." Atheron replied. That's the end to our segment.

Coach's corner:
"How come Gerardino Checci had the start and not Nebojsa Bosnjak?" Grondin replied "Checcs has been hot lately I know there was some speculation that Bosnjak may get the start but it was just rumors."
