Brampton Capital's owner, mrnegative15 addressed the media today:

"Today marks another big day in Capitals history. As we've stated in the past, we want the Powerade Centre to be the focal point of the franchise. We feel if we can offer the best experience to the fans and be able to have world class facilities we can have a product that is second to none. With that said, we've started some work on the facility. First of all, we're adding a huge expantion to the West side of the building that will serve 2 purposes. For the fans, we're adding a single floor multifunctional section. This means we're adding 400 seats to the facility, in addtion we will be able to add more snack bars and fan shops under the stands of course, this will also expand the concourse so foot traffic will be able to flow through a little more freely. While doing the construction, we've needed to expand the foundation of the building (naturally) which means we'll have room to expand the on-site facilities, and we've decided to do so by upgrading our medical centre. The work is well underway and the medical centre upgrade should be done in a week or so, as for the multifunctional section, we're looking at closer to 3 months.
Some more great news is coming down the pipe too. We upgraded our north end last season to seating and added in our first press centre to better help Sport TV cover our home games. Well, our contract with Sport TV has come to and end, but as a result of having a press centre we've been able to sign a much better TV deal with Olympic TV. Olympic TV broadcasts in HD and is known for having a more professional camera crew, up to date camera equipment and, the best commentators money can buy. We're really excited to get on this network, as locally, you can't do much better.
On the ice we've had some slight changes too. We've signed 2 of our academy players and promoted them to the big club. Jacob Redmond is a 15 year old right winger who has proven to be a guy who can shoot the puck alot. We expect he will come into the team and contrubute by shooting and creating alot of chances. Pierre Caron is a 15 year old Defenseman who is technique oriented. He's proven to be a real heads-up player, who's very smart with the puck. We expect him to be the guy making great outlet passes, rushing and creating plays and, even having potential to one day be a team captain.
Lastly, we're are currently looking at developing a new set of jerseys. When we did the name change last season we didn't have much time to make a distinct look. This is what we'd like to do for this season. Stay tuned as we continue to develop the Capital's image.
