Recent weeks have been quite difficult in Crybabies- camp. After the new year Crybabies have played 16 games, losing 6, tied 2 and winning only 8. There was 5 game winless streak in 6.1.-10.1.2010 which included 4 sequential losses. Because of this very poor run, Crybabies were losing the grip to the play-off place finding themselves in the 9th spot in 8.1.2010 after game 18. After that there were very serious discussions between manager, coaches, players and all other staff. Something has to be done to change to course.

Some inside sources tell that there is no more secured roles for the players in the club anymore. If player has no performance, player has no future in the club. This has raised quite a lot of resistance among the fans as there are quite many fan-favorites. This has caused some fans to boycott Crybabies and it has resulted to lower ticket sales. There has also been some vandalism in the Crybabies home arena as in some facilities.

But after all that there seems to be some signs of awakening. Crybabies just finished building their new 2100-attendance arena and have won 3 consecutive league games. There is only 2 points to the top of the table and everything is still possible. CB has still chances to advance in the play-off rounds in the Cup Winners Cup and is still fighting in the Finnish Cup. There was also one Credit Tournament win, which brought CB manager santar no less than 107 credits. So everything looks bright after all, manager santar?

"I hope we have touched the bottom. We have had difficulties with our game plan and our opponents have taken advantage of that. Our goalkeepers have had some difficulties to adapt in Finland, but we do our best to help them. Recent weeks have been difficult to team that have learned to win. Morale has gone down. But our young team have to learn to lose. Many players have learned that now and are stronger mentally. This is not just performing on the ice; it´s also performing inside your head. 95% focus is 50% performance.

We have been doing well lately and I have full faith we will do great in the end. As I told you earlier, there will be bad times. And we need to get over those. For the fans I tell that we will continue building around our key players. Nummisto, Viman and Pirttikangas have been called for National Team and that tells we have quality. I also announce that we are looking for some strenghtening to the team. There may be some big signings in the upcoming weeks. Who they are, that I don´t tell. You´ll see."

So things are going for better way. Manager santar also told that next weeks Finnish Cup match against HC Snipers will be one of the most important matches so far in the season and he hopes to see full arena next tuesday. Support is needed as HC Snipers and their manager Tacklefin are experienced and strong.
