Edmonton Frozen Blizzards† - Wind of Change upon Vancouver wild Jokers
As the team started the new season everyone was still thinking about what team Manager Robert Bouchard stated last season when looking at the roster and as the team continued to win.
That being said the wind of change hit hard this past week as the team shipped out seven key players with Starting Goalie Matěj Folkman moving to Team Black, Redžad Ančić, Karel Hofmeister & Quirin Papin heading to another Canadian Team Lemons. Igor Buček was sent to Stare Puszczykowo and Hermann Mahnke to Berlin Bears but the most expensive transaction was Tytus Koperda who was sent to Klonkers HC.
"The team needed to change if we are going to successful long term" Stated Robert Bouchard;"As we need to watch the expenses of the team to strengthen the key areas to keep the team heading in the right direction. These moves reduce our payroll giving us more income to spend else where on improving the team." continued Bouchard.
"These moves will hurt our lineup and ability to claim much needed placements but we hope to off set this by speeding up the processes of bring home grown talent to the club in the near future." Added Bouchard. "It was a tough call and these will continue until we can get all the resources in place that we need to be more successful everywhere within the organization." finished Bouchard.
So now the question remains how this will effect the teams current 5th place standings over the remained of the season.
