on the 26th Brampton sold long time goalie Steve Saunders to Club Fight of Czech Republic's V.169. Steve had been with the team since day one but wasn't developing the way the club had wanted. team owner mrnegative 15 had a quick statement to make seeing as Steve was a long time member of the team: "Steve Saunders is, and always will be, a big part of the Brampton Screaming Eagles/Capitals memories. He was the starting goalie for most of the Screaming Eagles days and remained a reliable backup right up to today. We felt it was only fair to put Steve on the market in order to give him a chance to find a club where he could get alot more playing time. From everyone here at Brampton we wish Steve all the best."
February 1st brought another player sale. Dionyz Zufka was sold to Kalnu Coyote's of Latvia's V.48. Dionyz was bought earlier this season from the Guelph Gryphons but didn't quite fit into the picture as Brampton had planned. He managed to play a few games with the Capitals while there were injuries, but due to him wanting a big raise the Capitals sold him.
Lastly, the Capitals signed 2 more players from the academy. Winger Jeffery McKenzie was signed to bring some grit to the lineup and is expected to be used as a healthy scratch more often than not.
Brampton then signed one of the most promising prospects from their academy to date thus far: 15 year old defenseman Theodore Elliot who will step in immediately and play on the first line with long time Capital and fan favorite, Brad Barton.
