The head of operations for Team Goat Jazz GM Gary Hedger said at the press conference earlier today "We are pleased to announce that after lenghty negotiations with our finacial backers and team sponsors that the Goat Jazz will be soon renamed Waterlooville Goats, all we are now waiting for is league approval".He added...
" All players and staff will remain at the club and we are very excited about this positive move".
The Goats have been based in Waterlooville, Hampshire since they started competive games but have been looking to change the name of the team for some time, it seemed that only the finances were lacking!
Also the club have released new home shirts and as an added bonus to the kids they will be revealing a new mascot (details to follow!) at the game against HC Lofásci on Febuary 2nd 2013.This will mark the teams first game in the Ligurian Cup IV.
