Edmonton, AB - April 16, 2024 - Despite a valiant effort on home ice, the Edmonton Thunder faced a tough defeat against Stampeders HC with a final score of 7-5 in the Thunderdome. This marked the team's first loss under the leadership of their new General Manager, Joesmithy.
The Thunder put forth an impressive performance throughout the game, dominating the shot count with 36 shots on goal compared to Stampeders HC's 28. Despite this offensive prowess, Stampeders HC managed to capitalize on their opportunities, securing the win and the lead in the series.
"We're disappointed with the outcome tonight, but I'm proud of the effort our team displayed on the ice," said Joesmithy, the recently appointed General Manager of the Edmonton Thunder.
