The Royal City Redshift have secured a place in Canada's premier division next season after a 2-1 series win over season winners Arquebusiers d'Auteuil. The series was close on goal differential, with 11 goals each over the three games at 1-5, 6-5 (SO) and 5-1.

"It was nice to get the playoff win. We were close the past few seasons but we played our hand during the season to set us up for this round. In the end we got 3rd in the league, but first when it mattered" said canucks357. "I'm proud of our lads and the determination they illustrated given we were short manned the first two games of the series."

There are also some critics wondering why with a return to I.1 the Reds are unloading some of their veteran players.

"We are making some changes yes. We have some very capable younger talent that deserve a shot and after discussing with some of the older guys they'd rather contribute elsewhere than play sparingly. We respect their careers and have granted their wish" said canucks357. No word on the number of changes management is expected to make.

Lastly, lawyers have been in contact with the Reds management regarding some shenanigans with Biznow's hockey club. Biznow is claiming the team's year-end spiral was a result of a targeted attack by Redshift management and an aggressive tactic by their coaches aimed to cripple the confidence of the starting goalie the night before the chance to win the league title.
