Vancouver Jokers HC must be very happy as they have completed a two game sweep of Whiters in the placement game of the play-offs.

The series wash't even close with Vancouver taking control of the series in game one with a 12-1 win to put much of the series without doubt.

The second game would prove much closer as Vancouver won 2-0 but much of the game was dominated by Vancouver and if it wasn't for Whiters goaltending the game would have been over much sooner as he made 46 save in the losing effort.

"We are proud to be going through into the next round as we expected to see an upset or two. We may not be wrong as we have a chance to become the top seed if the other two top teams cannot hang-on in their series with bottom seeds." added Bouchard. "It's part of the package as the teams are aiming for different aspect from league position to play-off positions. It's an balancing act that we haven't managed to figure out yet as we need to be near the top of the division but always end up middle pack."
