The 'Starz made quite the splash yesterday, spending just over $13 million to bring in star goalie Denver Caven and explosive winger Bruce 'Libs' Liburd in an attempt to strengthen the weaker areas of the roster with the intention of taking the league title next season.

Caven came in via the top league in the country, while Liburd was pulled back to Canada from Germany, and while the fees were quite high, GM Twigstarz is optimistic about how the season can finish, and hopefully what can be in seasons to come.

Not to be overlooked however, were the additions of defenseman Francois Medeiros (16) and Alonzo Vincent (17), continuing the youth movement in Bricktown, the latter quickly becoming a potent threat in the 'Starz lineup.

A friendly today vs Ice Royals will be the first real test for the star signings, with both looking sharp in training and a few short exhibition tests.

Game time is at 1pm.
