The Ice Palace was rocking today as the 1st place Hudson Black Bears rolled into town for a battle with the Explosion. The game lived up to all the hype as the Explosion walked away with the 4-3 win in a shootout. Although the shots were clearly in the Explosion favor they just couldn't get the lead in regulation and luckly tied the game with seconds left. The Black Bears new goalie made several unconscience saves to earn his team a point.

The Explosion have to be happy with the W over the Bears but a little disappointed the Goldfish moved ahead in the standings based on having 1 more win. Explosion GM Sudsy was asked about the drop to 3rd place, "Where we are in the standings is not very important at this time of year, what is important is seeing how we stack up against the top team in the league and understand that we have some work to do if we want to win a Championship! We also showed that we have come along way in a short time and will continue with our long range plans"
