Today, Gorean Warriors have won their first credit trophy in the "Mattoni Cup 5" tournament.

The team had no problems beating "Energie K. Vary" earlier this week when they won the semi-finals game 7-1, however, the finals proved to be much more challenging as "Hankock" tried to deny Goreans of the trophy in the last match of the tournament.

The guys from "Hancock" were strong and they were keeping Goreans under pressure for the whole 60 minutes of the game, trying to exploit every mistake made by the Warriors.
The game stayed at 0-0 until the Warriors' star centre Adam Blahuta opened the score by redirecting Roman Satan's shot into a hole left by the opponent's goalie. For the rest of the game it seemed like Warriors were going to take the trophy home with a 1-0 win but the guys from Hancock came back at the 55th minute and tied the game at 1-1.
All the fans were looking forward to staying for overtime and shootout but the Goreans' one and only Max Vysoky sealed the game with a powerful one-timer, thanks to an amazing pass from Adam.

The funds raised in the tournament were used to induct 3 Goreans' old-timers into the hall of fame.
The achievements of Jan Pasek, Julius Racz and Radoslav Straka, aka "The Czech trio" who took Goreans from the last position in the league in season 5 to the top of UK III-1 are now listed in the hall of fame.

The coach and the management are extremely happy to celebrate their first victory. Goreans managed to come 5th in "Mattoni 3" 2 seasons ago and it seems like the team has become much stronger since then.
