The upstart Salisbury North Stars, promoted from League III.10 after a tough championship loss, have shot to the top of the leaderboard in League III.3 early in the new campaign thanks in no small part to the stellar play of veteran netminder Iain "Champs" Champman, winner of the Save Percentage Award in Season 5. Off to a flying start, the Stars gained a surprise win over the mighty Stoney Creek Saints, whose manager Saint2e has deservedly been elected again to lead our National Team, and Champman earning his first shutout of the season in a 6-0 win on the road against the managerless Lords, the Stars find themselves in first place. A terrific start to be sure, will it last? We have a lot of hockey to be played, sit down with your beverage of choice and enjoy the ride!
