(The following is an excerpt from a recent episode of, "Inside Hockey with Michael Landsberg"

Landsberg - "You mentioned once before that you like to think of the Mudcats as being modeled after the Washington Capitals."

Roedb - "Yeah, for sure! The Capitals are a really &$itty hockey club you know and they have been that way for a long, long time. Of course, they are far better at us at putting people into their stadium but we are working on that aspect and we hope to catch up."

Landsberg - "You are proud of that?"

Roedb - "You mean ripping off the local fans. Sure, why not? But if you mean am I proud to compare our team to Washington then, ah...<chuckling> not at all. Quite the opposite - I am ashamed of that. I love the game of hockey and I want to produce a winner."

Landsberg - "Then who is your model going forward?"

Roedb - "A dirty club who wins ugly. Probably the Bruins or L.A."
