(The following is an extract from a recent episode of "Inside Hockey with Michael Landsberg.)

Landsberg - "There has been some talk about your club's registration status. The Mudcats are a southern Ontario club based in Dunnville but the team was registered in Vancouver...?"

Roedb - (sighing) "Yeah, that was a real disappointment for us really. We originally had an agreement to base the club in Burnaby but things fell through at the last minute. The local authorities balked at the team's name for some reason. They didn't like the sound of the Burnaby Butthole Surfers..."

Landsberg - "You find that surprising?!"

Roedb - "Yeah. Sure! My buddies and I spent a lot of time up and down the West Coast in the mid-80's. To and from LA, you know? The whole hardcore scene back then was great and we thought it was a clever name...kind of a homage to the good old days."

Landsberg - "But Burnaby didn't like it."

Roedb - "Nope. Burnaby didn't like it and now we are stuck down here..."
