(AP) A day of celebration and revelry turned ugly earlier today when Mudcat GM and President Paul Roedb showed up at the team's year-end ticker tape parade to celebrate the club's long-awaited promotion to the Canadian second division. Arriving at the tail end of the event attended by hundreds of loyal fans, the festive mood abruptly soured when local residents identified the black car at the rear of the floats as belonging to the highly unpopular team boss. Footage shows a beaming Roedb leaning out the back of the car's window but then hurriedly ducking back in as various items of foodstuff can be seen flying towards the car. As the rear window is quickly closed, more dangerous items, including mobile phones and even a brick, can be seen bouncing off the team vehicle. The car then abruptly does a u-turn and leaves from the direction that it came from. Calls to team officials were left unanswered at press time.
