(AP) The last remaining pick from their final draft in Division III was cut by the Dunnville Mudcats organization earlier today, announced shortly after a scrimmage at the team's arena. LD and third-round pick Johnathan Dick was released from his rookie contract according to team HR Specialist Miriam Estuary. Said Estuary, "He's a big boy for his age, you know, a lot of girth on him. We saw a lot of offence and he showed that today with a few good thrusts into the zone and, you know, you saw him poke one in there near the end of the game. But we saw a big hole and it runs right down the center of him and that is his defensive game. We really questioned if he was going to be able to stand up to all the pounding that is needed at this level of the game so, in the end, we decided to cut [Dick]."
