Freezing Falcons kick off their playoff challenge tomorrow morning against rivals Zephyr Raiders in what must be described a tantalising prospect for both sides.

The last meeting between both sides came just 4 days ago with the Falcons emerging 5-3 winners in one of the closest matches of the season. With hardly anything to seperate the two sides, it will come down to whichever team wants it the most.

With the Falcons still yet to lose in February pundits must be wondering if they can do the impossible and go an entire month without losing a match, and Zephyr raiders are the only thing to stand in the way of that goal. Eric the Eel is said to be rewarded with a healthy bonus to his monthly paycheck if he can complete this goal, and club administration is said to be only satisfied with a top-4 finish.

In player news, first line defender Greg Wiki returned from a 16-day injury yesterday, only to fracture his jaw and go out for another 12 days. His manager Eric is said to be disappointed with his continuing absence and is considering what to be done so as not to have his own Ice Hockey 'Owen hargreaves'.
