Tomorrow is the round of 16 for the Canadian National Cup. The Gryphons will be in tough against the Bulldogs de Terrebonne from II.4. Newton has been steady in net all season and will get another crucial start. His 13 SOs in 28 starts leads the league and is one of the reasons the Gryphons have allowed the fewest goals against in the country and (touch wood) is the only team in the nation without a regulation loss.

The Gryphons will be without their playmaking centreman David Peake who is still nursing a fractured funny bone. In addition to Peake, Ian Newell will be missing from the point on the powerplay. He broke his finger and is expected to return within a week.

Expect a strong performance from the Gryphon's top line. Kennedy, Vaverka and Ebbrell have all posted strong numbers so far this season and will be expected to not only play against the top line of the Bulldogs but also contribute offensively.

The Gryphons will travel to Collisé Van Houtte and likely play in front of a sold out arena of 800 fans. It should be a closely contested affair and an exciting match.
