Kanada Royal City Redshift - Gryph News - Vol 6 Issue 2: Gryphon Management Investigating Espionage Ring

Guelph Gryphons and their co-partners announced today via the OPP and RCMP that a full fledge investigation is being conducted on Aowyr Sports and Entertainment Corp., the owners of The Moderately Neato hockey team as well as the Wallaceburg Walking Dead soccer club. While law enforcement agents would not reveal too much about the allegations towards Aowyr, some points were revealed.

Over the past few seasons it appears as though Aowyr and his partners in crime have been planning and conducting various forms of business espionage. Not only have facilities been experiencing higher than average damage, but players for both the Gryphons and OAP have experienced some scaring events.

"It was the night before our last league game against Impact CH. At about 4am my phone rang. There was deep breathing coming from the other line. Some stuff straight out of a horror scene. Needless to say I couldn't fall back asleep. Turns out it happened to the whole team. One reason we may have lost that game 3-0" said Jacob Hodge.

Officials later investigated the calls and realized they came from a disposable cell phone with a Sarnia phone number.

"There is only one person awake at that hour over there who would have any contact with my players - Aowyr. He is up that early delivering mail. I think he got bored and used his gamemaster status to get their contact info and try to sabotage my soccer team" said canucks357 on the circumstantial evidence.

The Gryphons have not been immune either. Security cameras were installed the other week and one instance shows two masked men wearing TMN jerseys breaking into Veterans Memorial Arena and performing acts of destruction. They were urinating in skates and mouth guards as well breaking the entire stick collection.

"They came out of nowhere. All I saw was the big yellow evil smiley face. Like a Walmart logo juiced up on chemical toxins or something. It was horrific. They stunned me and stole my keys. Thankfully we were able to call in some equipment from Montreal Canadien... flown all the way in from BC. They run a good program out there. Glad to see them performing well in the second division" said Phil Gallimore head of security.

We can only speculate was was done in areas where there were no cameras. Papers were tossed all over the place in the coaches offices. It is likely that whoever was behind this was after the Gryphons' training routine.

"I've spoken with some guys on TMN. They're not saying anything. I think Aowyr and his antics has a silence clause in their contract. If they even know what's going on" said Guy Richard referring to Leroy Hayles and others who were sold to TMN by the Gryphons.

"I don't know what to say" said canucks357 when interviewed. "Not sure what his deal is. We send good players his way, guys that are good team guys and deserve a chance to play. In exchange, this happens. Not saying it was him, but not saying it wasn't. Maybe he's still pissed his wife texted me. (True story.) Frankly, I have no idea."
