Tonight's game that closes out the 7th season for the Gryphons will mark the 7th full season for Guy Ricahrd. Richard has played in every competitive match since franchise inception and in his 265th game, the 2nd last of this season, he marked his 200th point.

Guy notched an assist on the Gryphons' second goal which gave him 200 points in league play in his career. Quite the milestone. "It's remarkable really" said defenceman Martin O'Brien who has played 7 seasons with Guy, "The guy is a steady producer and an iron man. I don't know of anyone else in the game who has not missed a single day of games and practices. He is a true inspiration."

Head Coach of the Gryphons said "Guy is a gifted player. His experience and hockey smarts are what make him irreplaceable. With another tough round of games coming up in the playoffs, Guy will get a more prominent role and will also be getting a letter once again to officially be a part of the Gryphon leadership core."

It is anticipated that prior to the first playoff game at VMA, the organization will present Richard with a memento of his 200th point and also give him some form of accolade for his impressive iron man streak.

"I just show up and play. I keep in shape and that goes a long way to not getting injured. Players around me make me better. I can't take credit for those 200 points. I'm just happy to be a part of such a special organization and look forward to working out a contract and signing on here for another 3 seasons" said 'The French Flash'.

In honour of Richard's achievements all fans attending the next home playoff game will get a free Richard t-shirt commemorating his iron-man streak and 200th point.
