Spartan HC accomplished something that has never been done in the 4 season history of the club... advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs. After an up and down season Spartan HC was able to close out the season with a 17-2-1 record in their last 20 games.

"Well, streaks like that only come around once in a while. It was really a combination of everyone finding their rhythm as a team, finding the correct line combinations, and some nice acquisitions half way through the season." Reported their Coach.

The question now becomes can they take it a step further and get into the playoff finals. We were able to ask rookie defenseman Lance Young how he felt about the teams current playoff run.

"Well we feel good about what we've done so far but we don't want to stop there. Hopefully we can give it a good run here."

Unfortunately the GM who put this team together and the rest of the team were unable to comment. Reports that they were already black out drunk shortly after the game have been confirmed by the smell coming from the locker room.
